Session Overview:
Within commercial buildings, it is estimated that poorly maintained, degraded, and improperly controlled equipment wastes an estimated 15% to 30% of the energy used and impacts operational costs and equipment lifespan. Smart technology enables the next generation of proactive and preventative maintenance through analytic tools such as Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD). With smart controls and an open architecture, FDD can be deployed for both new and existing buildings. This session will provide an overview of FDD, how it is used and considerations for design and specifications.
