Syracuse Schools USD 494 partnered with C&C Group Energy Services to implement a district-wide building controls upgrade that replaced outdated systems across all facilities with no upfront capital cost. Our energy services team delivered a turnkey controls modernization project designed to optimize HVAC operations, improve system visibility, and reduce long-term maintenance risk. The project was structured under C&C Group’s shared savings program, allowing the district to fully fund the improvements through performance-based energy savings while generating positive cash flow back to the school system. As a result, Syracuse Schools USD 494 achieved a 49% reduction in gas and overall utility expenses, creating immediate budget relief and long-term financial sustainability without diverting funds from educational priorities.
