Kismet-Plains School District partnered with C&C Group Energy Services to improve district-wide energy performance by optimizing—rather than replacing—their existing Invensys and Johnson Controls building automation systems. Our energy services team executed a comprehensive controls reprogramming initiative that standardized sequences, corrected operational inefficiencies, and improved HVAC scheduling and setpoint management across all facilities.

The project was delivered with no capital cost and structured through C&C Group’s shared savings program, making it a revenue-positive initiative for the district that returned capital directly back to the school system from verified energy savings. As a result, Kismet-Plains School District reduced overall utility expenses by 23% while extending the life of existing controls infrastructure and generating ongoing financial returns without impacting educational budgets.
