Meet Our Team

Danny Davies serves as President and CEO of C&C Group. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas and has been with C&C Group since 1985, during which time he has executed nearly every role within the company. With over 40 years of experience in building systems, Danny brings unmatched industry knowledge and hands-on leadership to the organization. Outside of work, he enjoys watching KU basketball and spending time outdoors.

Chad Cillessen holds a degree in Construction Science from Kansas State University and brings over 23 years of experience in the building controls industry. He has been a dedicated member of the C&C Group team since 2005 and has served in his current role since 2014, contributing a strong blend of technical knowledge and practical field experience. Outside of work, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and working on the farm.

Mike Cillessen is the Co-Founder of C&C Group, where he has led the company’s growth from a two-person operation into a thriving organization of more than 190 employees across five office locations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, a technical foundation that has guided his practical, solutions-driven leadership style.  Under Mike’s direction, C&C Group has expanded its capabilities, footprint, and reputation while maintaining a strong focus on people, performance, and long-term relationships. His hands-on approach and commitment to operational excellence have been central to the company’s sustained growth and success.  Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time on his farm and making memories with his grandchildren, pursuits that reflect his values of hard work, family, and balance.

Mary Baragary has been a valued member of the C&C Group team since 2007, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the Human Resources field. A graduate of the University of St. Mary, Mary contributes deep HR knowledge, steady leadership, and a thoughtful approach that strengthens our associate focused initiatives across the organization. In her personal time, Mary enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and taking on home renovation projects.

Brian Schepers is a Jefferson City, Missouri native and a Mechanical Engineer who earned his degree from the University of Missouri. With more than 37 years of experience in the building controls industry, Brian has been a key leader at C&C Group since joining the company in 1995. He has served as Vice President of the Central Missouri office since 2003, where he provides strategic leadership and deep industry expertise. Outside of work, Brian enjoys collecting and restoring vintage vending machines.

David Travis is a Wichita native with more than 31 years of experience in the building controls industry. He has been a valued member of the C&C Group team since 2015 and currently serves as Vice President of the Wichita office. David holds degrees in Business Management from DeVry University and Friends University, bringing a strong business-focused perspective to his leadership role. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Steve Wuennenberg is a St. Louis native and a Mechanical Engineer with over 27 years of experience in the building controls industry. He has been a valued member of the C&C Group team since 2019, bringing deep technical expertise and a practical, solutions-driven approach to every project. Outside of work, Steve enjoys playing hockey and traveling to the islands whenever he gets the chance.

Neil Young is a Springfield native who has proudly called the Queen City home for many years. With more than 15 years of experience in the Life Safety industry, Neil has spent the past decade as a valued member of the C&C Group team. He brings a strong sales background in both Security and Fire Alarm systems and currently serves in a leadership role where he is committed to empowering his team and building strong, long-term partnerships. Outside of work, Neil enjoys traveling and making memories with his family.

Doug Straub serves as Vice President of Kansas City Service and has been with C&C Group since 1983. He holds a degree in Applied Science of Electronics from DeVry and brings over 43 years of experience in the building systems industry. Doug has executed roles ranging from field technician to senior management, giving him a deep, well-rounded understanding of project execution and service delivery. Outside of work, he enjoys restoring and working on classic muscle cars.

Steve Hopfinger serves as Vice President of Kansas City Construction Operations and brings over 37 years of experience in the building systems industry. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri and has been with C&C Group since 2000. Throughout his career, Steve has worked in a variety of roles—from sales and project management to his current leadership position—giving him a well-rounded perspective on execution and operations. Outside of work, he enjoys watching MIZZOU sports and spending time with his daughters.

Erika Cantrell serves as Controller at C&C Group and brings over 23 years of experience in finance and accounting. She holds a finance degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree from the University of Kansas. Erika has been a valued member of the C&C Group team since 2018, providing strong financial leadership and oversight. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to the islands with her family in her spare time.

Steve Mynsted has been a valued member of the C&C Group team since 2009, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the networking/technology space. Throughout his career, Steve has developed a well-rounded background, working across many facets of networking and building a deep understanding of both technical and operational environments. His breadth of experience and long-term commitment to C&C make him a trusted resource and industry professional. Outside of work, Steve enjoys watching KU sports and traveling with his family.
